Created in 1986 by Danielle Mitterrand in France, the Danielle Mitterrand Foundation supports the construction of democratic, solidarity-based and ecological alternatives to a predatory model that is destroying the planet and threatening human rights. It calls for a radical metamorphosis, which is essential to perpetuate the relationship between living elements, human and non-human. As a promoter of ideas and debates, the Foundation encourages the co-construction of utopias, thoughts and practices to demonstrate, for example, that another world is possible and desirable. To do this, it documents and supports systemic alternatives and encourages radical action and experimentation, in France and around the world, by privileging “utopias in resistance”.
